Many actors came and gone in Bollywood but only talented can remain in Bollywood. The talented actor has the talent of the next level of acting, is none another than Irrfan Khan. But sadly he is no more with us because of colon infection (cancer) on 29 April 2020 (aged 53). His journey to become an actor was full of struggle.
EARLY LIFE
Actually, his name was not Irrfan Khan in his childhood at that he named Sahabzade Irrfan Ali Khan. He was born on 7 January 1967 in Tank, Rajasthan, India. His father's name is Sahabzade Yaseen Ali Khan who used to run the tire business and mother named Sahabzade Begum. During his childhood he used to love cricket so much so, he used to play cricket with his friends. At that time he wanted to be a cricketer in the future but his parents don’t allow him to become a cricketer in the future. His parents suggested he be a doctor or to help in his father’s tire business. He also used to watch so many films at that time so, he decided to become an actor.
SAD MOMENT
When he started to dream of an actor, his father died when he was the age of 19. So he had to run the household activities because of these things he used to work in his father’s shop and ran the tuition class for children.
CAREER
He held his household activities to his brother and came to Delhi to become an actor. In Delhi, he admitted to the National School of Drama. He had to face many problems in getting a role in the movie because he had no godfather in Bollywood. Finally, in 1998 he got the role in a movie named Salam Bombay but his role was cut while editing. After that, he used to do a small role.
One day he came to Mumbai and did many TV serials. He came to Mumbi because one of the directors approached him to come to Mumbai to act on TV series. The TV serials were Bharat Ek Khoj, Sare Jahan Hamara, Chanakya, Lal Ghat par Neele Ghode, etc.
But he got his first lead role in a 2005 movie named Rog. After this, he did many successful movies like Pan Singh Tomar (2012). From this move Pan Singh Tomar he became a little bit famous in Bollywood. After this, he did two more successful movies named The Launch Box (2013) and another D.Day (2013) from which he became more popular. After this, he did many super hit movies like Kick (2014), Piku (2015), Madaari (2016), Blackmail (2018), and so on. After this success of movies, he never looked back.
HOLLYWOOD DEBUT
Because of his popularity in Bollywood, he also got the opportunity to work in Hollywood movies like Slumdog Millionare (2008), The Amazing World (2012), Life Of Pie (2012), and Jurrasic World (2015). All movies became a superhit and among them, two movies Life Of Pie and Slumdog Millionaire got Oscar award also.
RECENTLY MOVIES
In 2017 he did the movie Hindi Medium, which was based on education which did excellent box office collection. It collects more than 300 crores. In 2020 after his death his movie named Angrezi Medium was released which was a sequel of the movie Hindi Medium, which was released in the OTT platform.
MARRIAGE
On February 23, 1995, he got married to Sutapa Sikdar. Now he has two children son named Ayan Khan and another son named Babil Khan.
AWARDS
He got the best actor award in the National Film award in (2012) and also won the Asian Film award for the best actor in 2014 in the Three International film Acadamy Awards. He also has a Padma Shri Award.
NET WORTH
His total net worth is $50m. He has many cars like Mercedes Benz s. Class price 1.8 crores, Toyota Land Crusle V8 price 1.8 crores, BVH 5 series price 59 lakhs. He has an expensive house in Mumbai. He used to charge 12-15 crore per film. He is also able to get a brand ambassador for Resurgent Rajasthan by Rajasthan State Government in 2015.
